Blu-Ray Buy 2 Get 1 Free Sale

August 11th, 2009 | By Desz

Amazon has a Blu-Ray Hook up for you today, or do they?. Now this is no HD-DVD hook up from past sales (4 dollars each), the average prices we are looking at are about $18.99-24.99 for each Blu-Ray, but they are throwing in a free Blu-Ray after the purchase of 2 at regular price. Amazon has over 300 titles to choose from. This sale ends August 21. If you have the ca$h, then this might be for you. I’ll pass till each Blu-Ray is at least 12 each. I’ll keep it BMI for free99 till then.

Good looking out TheL1T1G4T0R!

Porn HD Via PS3

August 6th, 2009 | By Desz

While Redtube is already readily available via the PS3’s browser. Digital Media Mart (DMM) has made a Blu-Ray disc call DM.TV available with a viewing app for downloading and streaming high definition, redtube status, movies. The crazy thing about it, is that this disc, and app are only able to play on one Blu-Ray player…PS3 baby! I know what the TQfam is thinking…BMI!! But check this out, the company DMM is actually offering free DMM.TV disc in order to promote its service. They are even covering shipping cost. The word on the streets, is that only Japan based peeps can request, but we need to give this one a try. This is an official BMI alert! Get em!

Here is their site: the DMM.TV official site.

Do we have a Japanese reading TQfam???

**Update** Site in English big ups Cody!

GhostBusters Blu-Ray Says NO To BMI

July 31st, 2009 | By Desz

I was this close to buying the Ghostbusters Blu-Ray a few weeks ago when Amazon had it for $9.99, but I just couldn’t do it yet, so I started in search for a good BMI copy. I started drinking a bit, and totally forgot about the BMI, and now a few days later Amazon says no to my BMI. Amazon has slashed the price yet another buck. This is what I’m taking about, bring them Blu prices down people! And if that is not enough, I read up on one of our favorite site’s Blu-Ray review section High-Def Digest, And they gave it a Highly recommended, with the HD quality doing surprisingly well. If only all Blu-Rays were marked down as often as Ghostbusters has. And by the way this Blu-Ray is retailed for $38.99, that’s a 30 dollar mO DeAl!

Amazon has Ghostbusters on Blu-Ray for $13 – $5 code GHOSTBLU = $8. Shipping is free with Amazon Prime or if you spend $25 or more.

How Blu-Rays Are Made

July 30th, 2009 | By Desz

Since the birth of Blu-Ray, I’ve wondered how Blu-Rays were made. Today, I have realized why Blu-Rays are priced the way they are. Check out this exclusive look into one of Sony’s DADC factories with detailed photos of the making of a Blu-Ray that News.com.au was able to score.

Blu-Ray Officially Endangered

July 16th, 2009 | By JUiCE

It is the 8th round of the heavy weight HD battle, and the heavy favorite Blu-Ray is on the ropes and in trouble. On the other side, DLC is quickly and convincingly wearing out Blu-Ray. Yes, Blu-Ray has won a huge battle against HD-DVD in the past, but it is starting to almost look embarrassing on how DLC is toying with the competition. It was just last week on TQcast Episode 71, that the hosts talked about how easy it was to damage a Blu-Ray, and how many people are receiving damaged Blu-Rays from internet renting services. Today as one of the host from TQcast received their weekly movie from Netflix, the prove and odds were revelead. Many Netflix subscribers have complained that they have received up to 4 out of 5 damaged Blu-Ray discs and after repeated phone calls to Netflix all they can really do is offer a discount and or send a replacement. What is the future of Blu-Ray? As TQcast mentioned on their last show, Blu-Ray is on the ropes. Why put up with cracked discs that won’t let you play your favorite high definition movie or maybe even your favorite PS3 game, when you can just go online and download it with no issues. This is something that has been proved already by mp3’s; more people have downloaded music rather than buying the physical media. Downloadable content is easier to access and free of headaches. As more and more media goes online, it’s making itself clear that our movies, video games, music and books will be physically untouchable soon enough.
