Just got the chance to check out the Target In-Store Demo for Mario Kart 8 recently, and all I can say is I can’t wait to play this game. The demo itself is currently available to try out in Target stores right now. So what did I think of it? Well, classic gameplay aside, there are also some fresh new ideas here that could make this game a worthwhile experience for gamers of all ages. Let’s take some time now to look at the pros and cons (can’t think of any) of my experience, shall we?
The Good: Solid framerate throughout an entire race, beautiful high definition visual presentation, lively animations are fun to watch, anti- gravity mechanic adds a small amount of strategy to races, a huge roster of characters to choose, lots of different online options will keep players coming back for quite some time.
The Bad: Even though there quite a bit of characters to choose from, some of them just are smaller versions of characters who are already in the game. Other than though, at least for now, there aren’t too many things to complain about whatsoever.
Final Demo Verdict: Wii U owners craving a quality game for their system should look no further, Mario Kart 8 is the game for you, download it now.
