Took some time to check out Peggle 2 today, and I have to say, it’s as fun and addictive as the first one was. The demo itself is around 885 MB or so, and is currently available for download on Xbox Live. So what did I think of it? Well, even though the game was fun to play, no new territory is explored here, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Let’s take some time now to go over some of the high and low points of the game, shall we?
The Good: Beautiful presentation, lively, yet extremely funny character animations, fun and addictive gameplay, controls make it easy for anybody to pick up and play. Multiplayer, leaderboards, optional objectives, and skill based missions add quite a bit of replay value to the experience as well.
The Bad: The only real low point here is the fact that not much has changed in order to add variety to the gameplay. Aside from that though, a steep price point of $11.99 is the only other thing I can think of that would stop people from buying the game right now.
Final Verdict: Despite feeling similar in every way to its predecessor, Peggle 2 is still an enjoyable game that anybody can get into, download it now.
