Nintendo Download of the Week: Got To Respect The Classics

Welcome to the latest installment of what’s new in the world of Nintendo Downloads. After a week off, I come to an sensory set of offerings on all Nintendo’s system. Some are good, most are meh, but a few are absolutely awesome. Let’s take a moment now to see which is which, shall we?

My pick for Nintendo Download of the Week is Super Mario Bros. 3 for the Wii U VC Service. It has an ESRB rating of E for Everyone, and is currently available for download through the eShop at the asking price of $4.99. The reason why I picked this one was simple, it is quite possibly one of my favorite NES games of all time. If you feel the same way I do, then by all means download the game as soon as possible. Anybody looking to game on the go should consider checking out the 3DS version as well.

Not up for reliving the classics, don’t worry, there are still two new Wii U Download titles, two new Wii U VC titles, one new Wii U Retail Download title, two recently permanently discounted Wii U Retail Download titles, two new 3DS Download titles, and one recently discounted 3DS Retail Download title available for you to try out. They love you, they love you not, in Flowerworks HD: Follie’s Adventure. Learn the basics of music when playing My First Songs. Go on a quest that you will never forget in Golden Sun. Feel the need for speed in F-Zero: Maximum Velocity. See what those delightful little building blocks have gotten themselves into this time around in Lego: The Hobbit.

As usual, one paragraph won’t do it, so here we go. Your two permanently discounted ii U Retail Download titles are Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ($39.99 starting April 21st) and Zombi U ($29.99 starting April 21st). Work your way through the pixels when playing Bit Boy Arcade. Try to be the first one to the Catnip in Smash Cat Heroes. Finally, your recently discounted 3DS title is Classic Games Overload: Card and Puzzle ($14.99 until May 1st).

All this and more can be found in the 3DS eShop, DSi Shop, and Wii U eShop Channels right now, have fun!
