Microsoft Reassures Your Games, Your Time, Your Call With Xbox One

Microsoft is on a non-stop advertising rampage. Their latest ad highlights their cool DRM-free features.  “If you like to play your way, this one’s for you”.

Here’s the BIGGEST blockbuster lineup Microsoft is referring to on their recents ads.

  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (Ubisoft, Ubisoft)
  • Battlefield 4 (DICE, Electronic Arts)
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts (Infinity Ward, Activision)
  • Crimson Dragon (Grounding/Land Ho!, Microsoft Studios)
  • Dead Rising 3 (Capcom Vancouver, Microsoft)
  • FIFA 14 (EA Sports, Electronic Arts)
  • Fighter Within (AMA Ltd., Ubisoft)
  • Forza Motorsport 5 (Turn 10 Studios, Microsoft Studios)
  • Just Dance 2014 (Ubisoft Paris, Ubisoft)

  • Frdjck

If this ad were blue instead of green and you replace Xbox One with PS4, the ad would still be true. I don’t see any real reason to choose an Xbox One instead of a PS4 based on the argument of this ad.

I completely agree…. Microlo$t has to attempt to “reassure” it’s fan base/install base this is amazing! Most of all it is so obvious it’s disgusting.

Seriously people if you can’t see what they’re trying to do just to attempt to keep people wrangled in you have to be completely lost. Microlo$t

This ad is just selling you their failed attempts at what they thought was the future. Amazing how being so pompous and arrogant tends to slap you right in the face. I keep saying it….”people need to look up and remember the quotes of Microlo$t before E-3 2013″ .

Any one company who thinks because their current install base is and or are going to just “buy” a xbone just because they will since they own a 360 deserves to get done to them what Microlo$t has.

They are feeble attempts at rebranding their scope/scheme and it is so disgustingly obvious….

I remember those quotes. I thought that it was amazing except for the always online bit. Had they allowed the option to play games from the disc without a connection/if the connection went down, I would have had no issue with their E3 press conference.
Everyone goes on and on about MS trying to force them to be online but what the hell games has ANYONE played over the last 5 years that hasn’t had a post-release patch? People have some weird knee-jerk reaction when someone says “this has to happen” as opposed to when it just happens anyway.
Always on made sense for the purposes that it was instated (how do you have a disc based delivery system for playing games that don’t require a disc without some way of stopping people from just installing the game and selling the disc?) but they should have realized that some cannot be online once every 24hrs, not even for a second, and should have allowed an on-disc verification process to run in the event that a connection wasn’t found.

You’re missing the point. Go into local game-centric retailer and the employees STILL tell the uninitiated (sic) that Xbox One restricts everything ever. This is meant to clear the air on their machine, not compare it directly to the competition.

You can have this same add run for Wii U if you really wanted (except download thing)

  • The-Master

Yeah, everything there has been said by Sony about the PS4 at launch or E3.
The general public doesn’t need reassurance about the Xbox One.
