This Is How We Eat: Lumpy’s Shake Shop

I hope you brought your appetite, because it’s time for another installment of This Is How We Eat. If you are unfamiliar with what’s going on here, please refer to our previous articles for more information. Most people think that only time of year to enjoy Ice Cream is during the Summer months, but if anybody out there is a big fan of it like I am, they know that this is simply not true. Today we are going to talk  about a place that embraces this idea in a big way, and it goes by the name of Lumpy’s Shake Shop.

Established early in 2013, this family operated Ice Cream Parlor in Brook Park, Ohio offers some sweet treats, and also a few warm related foods at reasonable prices. One of the items that I usually get on a consistent basis is a medium soft serve twist cone (a little under $3, but totally worth it), and occasionally my taste buds head on over to the grill for a Lumpy Burger (pretty much like a big mac, but it tastes better to me) and Fries. Pair those two items with a drink, and it’ll cost you a little more money than a meal at a fast food joint would, but in the end, you are left with a satisfying meal, and that’s all that matters.

The only real complaint that I have with this place is that there is nowhere to sit and enjoy your frozen treats. They did add a couple of tables and benches outside recently, which is an improvement, and will definitely help draw in more customers in the future. Other than this problem though, I can’t find any real problem with this place at all whatsoever. If they keep up their great customer service, and maybe lower the prices of some food items a bit, this could become a staple of the city for many years to come.

If you are in the mood for satisfying that sweet tooth, head on over to Lumpy’s Shake Shop, they will take care of it for you.
