Just tried out the demo for Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 today, and in all honestly, it wasn’t all that bad. The demo itself is around 2.05 GB or so, and is currently available for download on Xbox Live. So what did I think of it? Well, as far as FPS titles go, it is a little bit slower paced than most titles on the market today, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Let’s take a moment to go over the highs and low of my experience with this one, shall we?
The Good: The visual style, from the backgrounds to the characters, is absolutely gorgeous. Controls are tight and responsive for the most part. AI partner is actually quite helpful in the most stressful of situations. Sound effects are spot on, and the overall gameplay is evenly paced and enjoyable throughout.
The Bad: Voice acting is downright silly, enemies tend to spot you no matter how well you are hidden within an environment, other than that though, nothing.
Final Demo Verdict: As much as I am against FPS games in general, playing one from this perspective was a rather unique experience for me. Fans of something a little bit different shooter wise may want to check this one out, they will not be disappointed.
