Nintendo Download of the Week: 5/23 Edition

Welcome to what is going to be a very unusual installment of what’s new in the world of Nintendo Downloads. Even though there is not much to talk about today in terms of quantity, the sheer awesomeness of some of these experiences more than makes up for it.  Picking a favorite will be a difficult thing to do here because two of them are so good in their own right that choosing one over the other would be a crime against humanity. Let’s take a moment to see if I’m able to make just one decision, shall we?

For the first time that I can remember in Nintendo Download of the Week history, my decision ends in a tie between Kirby Super Star for Wii U, and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for the 3DS. Each has an ESRB rating of E for Everyone, and Kirby is currently available in the Wii U eShop for $7.99, while DK will release tomorrow at retail stores and the Nintendo eShop at the asking price of $39.99. The reason why my decision came down to this was because each one of these is just as spectacular as the other, enough said. If you agree with me, then download both of these great adventures as soon as possible.

Not up for vine swinging or inhaling enemies, don’t worry, there are still two new Wii U VC titles, one new 3DS Download title, one new 3DS Retail Download title, and one recently discounted 3DS Download title for you to check out. Go par for the course, Kirby style, in Kirby’s Dream Course. make all of your dreams come true, at least platforming ones anyway, when playing Kirby’s Dream Land 3. Let the beat guide you in Groove Heaven. Unleash the fury on unsuspecting evil doers in Naruto: Powerful Shippuden. Finally, your latest discounted title is The Denpa Men: They Came by Wave ($7.99 until May 30th).

By the way, the three Kirby games will be buy one, get one free in the eShop until May 30th.

All this and more can be found in the eShop, DSi, Wii, and Wii U ShBop Channels right now, have fun!

BTW, I chose the picture of DK because I didn’t have time to make an image for both games, it’s still a tie though.
