Just tried out the demo for FUSE recently, and despite being a straightforward third person shooter, it was actually pretty fun to play. The demo itself is around 1.45 GB or so, and is currently available for download on Xbox Live. So what did I think of it? Well, other than flashy visuals and somewhat enjoyable gameplay, there isn’t anything special about this game at all whatsoever. Let’s take a moment to go over the highs and low of my experience with this one, shall we?
The Good: Combat is fast paced and exciting, being able to play with friends is always a good thing, controls are easy to understand, and the visual style and animations are top notch as well.
The Bad: Enemies take a little more firepower than normal before they are defeated, In game dialogue is boring and robotic. Even though the gameplay is enjoyable, there are no new features that set it apart from just about every other shooting game available right now.
Final Demo Verdict: Even though there are more good qualities than bad ones here, I’m still not interested in exploring the world of FUSE. There’s just nothing here to keep me in it for the long haul, so it’s a delete for me this time around.
Here is a trailer in case you wanted to know more about the game, Enjoy!
