Nintendo Download of the Week: 2/28 Edition

Welcome to another installment of what’s new in the world of Nintendo Downloads. After taking an honest look at everything here, there are definitely some gems in this collection that will earn the attention of casual and core gamers alike. Each and every platform has something to try out as well, so there’s no reason to feel left out at all whatsoever. Let’s take a moment now to see which one of these quality adventures made the cut, shall we?

Runner 2 TQ

After some careful consideration, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week is BIT TRIP Presents: Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien for the Wii U Download Service. It has an ESRB rating of T for Teen, and is currently available for download through the Wii U eShop at the asking price of $14.99. The reason why I picked this game above the rest was because I am a fan of the series, and I want to see if this new installment can maintain the true spirit of the original. If you feel the same way I do, then by all means download this title as soon as it becomes available. Anybody unsure of spending that much money can always check out the free demo too.

Not up for showing off those precise platforming skills, don’t worry, there are still two new 3DS Download titles, a recently discounted 3DS title, one new 3DS demo, some new 3DS DLC, a new DSiWare title, and a new WiiWare title for you to check out. Another day, another Mahjong game, that’s the best way to describe Mahjong Mysteries – Ancient Athena. Experience the thrills of a theme park, without actually having to go to one in Coaster Creator 3D. Enjoy some quality side scrolling action at a discounted price in Fractured Soul. See what trouble Trevor Belmont has gotten himself into this time when playing the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate Demo.

As usual, one paragraph won’t do it, so here we go. Check out some new maps for the popular RPG game Fire Emblem: Awakening. Celebrate an Easter tradition in a digital way in Easter Eggztravaganza. Unleash some pixelated carnage in Retro City Rampage.

All this and more can be found in the eShop, DSi, Wii, and Wii U Shop Channels right now, have fun!

Here is a trailer that I found for the game, enjoy!
