Just got a chance to check out the demo for Rayman Legends recently, and oh boy was it a whole lot of fun. The demo itself is around around 521 MB or so, and is currently available for download through the Wii U’s Nintendo eShop. So what did I think of it? Well, it was a blast to say the least, which makes me wonder why the game hasn’t been released yet, because it looks absolutely fantastic. Let’s take a moment to go over the highs and low of my experience with this one, shall we?
The Good: Controls are solid, gamepad features feel more necessary than tacked on, the 2D visual design and animations are bursting from the seams with style, there are three different levels to play, each one showcasing a different gameplay mechanic from the other.
The Bad: Sometimes the tilt controls made my stomach upset, other than that, nothing.
Final Demo Verdict: Without question, this is a quality title that I think will be a major hit when it comes out, just wish I could play the rest of it right now. In case you haven’t figured out my verdict yet, let me put it this way, unlock, enough said.
