Unlock or Delete: Devil May Cry Demo (Xbox 360)

Just got a chance to check out the Devil May Cry Demo, and it was ok, but nothing special. The demo itself is around 1.30 GB or so, and is currently available for download on Xbox Live. So what did I think of it? Well, aside from some cool looking special moves, there is nothing unique about this hack and slash title at all whatsoever. Let’s take some time now to go over the high and low points of my experience, shall we?

The Good: Fighting controls are easy to understand for the most part, overall visual design is great, there  are two different levels to play, sound effects were very impactful and packed quite a punch to them.

The Bad: Things get repetitive and mundane rather quickly, each stage will not take that long to complete, voice acting is laughably bad.

The Ugly: Platforming controls are atrocious and unresponsive, which can lead to unfair deaths.

Final Demo Verdict:  Kind of a split decision here because there are just many reasons to avoid the game as there are towards buying it. In the end though, I would have to say that this is a rental at best, nothing more, which results in a delete.
