Nintendo Download of the Week: 10/4 Edition

It’s that time once again for another installment of what’s new in the world of Nintendo Downloads. Some people may experience sensory overload today because there are a slew of new titles to talk about this time around. Almost every console is getting some love and I’m very happy about that. Is there something worth playing though? Let’s find out.

After some careful consideration, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week is Drop Zone: Under Fire for the WiiWare service. It has an ESRB rating of E10+, and will be available for download through the Wii Shop Channel at the asking price of 900 Wii Points. The reason why this one made the cut was combining an on rails shooter with a skydiving element seems like a fun concept. If you feel the same way I do then by all means download this title as soon as it becomes available.

Not up for falling from the sky at high speed, don’t worry, you still have two new 3DS Retail Downloads, two new 3DS Download titles, one new 3DS VC title, one new 3DS Demo, some new eShop DLC, a new DSiWare title, and one new Nintendo Video to check out. Put some of that useless mainstream knowledge to the test in Crosswords Plus. Learn how to become an artist in Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone! . Relive a WiiWare classic once again when playing Cave Story. Become a Samurai master by collecting as much gold as possible in Samurai G. Help a plumber turned doctor find a cure for some deadly viruses in Dr. Mario.

Sorry, the list was so long that I needed to do a second paragraph just to cover everything. Show off the latest designs from your new fall collection by checking out the Style Savvy: Trendsetters Demo. The new DLC offers some more courses for players to collect coins in for the game New Super Mario Bros. 2.  Make your opponent hear one of the most dreadful word words ever spoken (checkmate) after playing a few rounds of Academy: Chess Puzzles. See what new mess those corporate dinosaurs have gotten themselves into today in the new Nintendo Video entitled Dinosaur Office: New Owners.

As if that wasn’t enough, there are still two more updates for us to talk about. Pokemon Dream Radar, a new 3DS download title, will hit the eShop this Sunday. Also, if anybody downloads select  titles from the eShop, and registers them to their Club Nintendo account before Jan 6,2013,  they will received the original edition of Donkey Kong for free.

All this and more can be found in the eShop, DSi, and Wii Shop Channels very soon. Have fun!
