Nintendo Download of the Week: 5/31 Edition

NDOTW_TQ

Welcome to another installment of what’s new in the world of Nintendo downloads. After a disappointing outing last time around, some developers have decided to go the extra mile today to bring as many quality downloadable experiences to each service as humanly possible. Aside from no Wiiware release, there is a little something for everybody today, so enjoy it while you can, because moments like these don’t come around too often. Not sure if these people are feeling generous, or are just looking to make a quick buck, either way, I’m happy this happened, and hope it occurs more often in the future.

Let’s take some time now to find out which title made the cut. My pick for Nintendo Download of the Week is 99 Seconds for the DSiWare service. It has an ESRB rating of E for Everyone, and will be available for download through both the DSi Shop and Nintendo eShop channels at the asking price of 200 DSi points ($1.99 in eShop). The reason why I chose this one above the rest was because the previous entry in this series (99 bullets) was a unique, yet fun take on a familiar genre, and after watching the trailer for their latest adventure, it looks like this game is going to be just as enjoyable. If anybody out there feels the same way I do then by all means download the title as soon as possible.

Not up for living life on the edge, don’t worry, there is still one new 3DS VC title, one new Wii VC title, one new 3DS Download title, and one new 3DS Demo for you to check out. Relive a classic platformer from back in the day when playing Rayman. Shoot, shoot, and shoot some more in Metal Slug 3. Put those math skills to the test in Kakuro by Nikoli. See what being a chef is all about, for a limited time anyway, and give the Order Up!! demo a shot.

All this and more can be found in the eShop, DSi, and Wii Shop Channels very soon. Have fun!
