Looks like Sony is making sure that the Vita stays in the mind of gamers. Sega has announced that they will be bringing the Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio to PlayStation Vita. The high-definition upgrade has already been announced for PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and PC, but now it’s confirmed that it will also make its way to Sony’s handheld.
Unlike the other ports, this one will take full advantage of the PS Vita’s touch functionality for spraying graffiti and integrate its built-in camera for unannounced purposes. According to Sega, the platform “is a handheld version that loses nothing in the way of content or experience” when compared to its console and PC counterparts.
“The fan reaction to our recent reveal of Jet Set Radio has been incredible!” said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at Sega. “As Jet Set Radio is focused on creativity, the touch capabilities of the PlayStation Vita are proving to be a perfect fit.”
The game is scheduled to be shown at E3 and released this summer.
