Now even though racing games are not really my things, I still decided to go ahead and check out the Dirt Showdown demo that released last week. The demo itself is around 1.16 or so and is currently available for download for the Xbox 360 (not sure about PS3). So what are my final conclusions on this demo? Well, in all honesty, it was actually a whole lot of fun to play. As far as standing out from other titles in the racing genre are concerned, this particular game does not deviate too much from the mold at all, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.
The Good: The visual style is simple, straightforward, and very easy on the eyes. Controls for driving the car were not that complicated at all. Multiplayer was extremely enjoyable, primarily because the main objective of the mode on offer here( Demolition) was to simply destroy other cars in as many creative ways as possible.
The Bad: Single Player was a little bit on the boring side, but thankfully it was over and done with pretty quickly. Other than that, nothing.
Final Demo Verdict: Anybody who a need to let out some anger every once in awhile (including myself) should definitely consider checking this one out.
