Nintendo Download of the Week: 3/22 Edition

Welcome to one of the shortest installments ever of what’s new in the world of Nintendo Downloads. I say this because there are only three new titles to talk about. Now some of you may be thinking that less can sometimes mean more, but in all honesty, nothing on offer here even looks remotely appealing at all. It just feels like developers aren’t even trying anymore, and as players, we definitely deserve better downloads than these pieces of garbage.

Still, a winner must be chosen, so let’s get on with it. My pick for Nintendo Download of the Week is Zombie Slayer Diox for the 3DS Download Service. It has an ESRB rating of T for Teen and will be available for download through the Nintendo eShop at the asking price of $5.99. I chose this one above the rest is because mixing together a rhythm game with a 2D side scroller hack and slash title sounds like it would be a lot of fun to play.

Not into beating up zombies with a guitar? Don’t worry, there is still one new DSiWare game, along with one new WiiWare title for you to check out. Count cards without getting into trouble in 1st Class Poker & Blackjack. See what new tricks this mathematics obsessed woman has up her sleeve when playing Carmen Sandiego Adventures in Math: The Island of Diamonds. One more thing, anybody who uses the 3DS’s Swapnote app will get a free message from Nintendo spokesdog Uggie today, so be on the lookout for that as well.

All this and more can be found in the eShop, DSi, and Wii Shop Channels very soon. Have fun!
