Grip games, a privately owned developer and publisher of games for game consoles and high-end portable devices, announced today it will launch Foosball 2012, the first foosball game for the PS3 and PS Vita. The game will be available as a downloadable game via the PlayStation Store throughout North and South America, Europe, and other territories this spring. The first foosball game developed for the PS Vita and PS3 system will feature clever connective play between both consoles, delivering cross-play and game continuation features in addition to PlayStation Move motion controller and DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller support. The company also released the first video of gameplay in Foosball 2012 today. For more information about the game, players can visit www.foosball2012.com.
With its keen cross-platform functionalities, Foosball 2012 will allow players on one platform to play online against players on the other platform for cross-play. Additionally, with game continuation, players can experience the game at home with their PS3 and pick up where they left off anywhere and anytime with their PS Vita!
“Not only are we excited to announce the first foosball game for the PS3 and PS Vita, but we are thrilled to launch the game for both devices with fun and competitive cross-compatibility features,” said Jakub Mikyska, CEO of Grip Games. “Players will now have a multitude of options to get their foosball fix anywhere, anytime and on either PlayStation device.”
Foosball 2012 will feature single and multiplayer modes along with Quick Match gameplay where up to four players can play simultaneously in a local match. The game supports both DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller and PS Move motion controller support for ultra-realistic foosball controls that will make players feel like they are controlling a real foosball table!
