Nintendo Download of the Week: 3/1 Edition

What better way to kick start a month off than with yet another lackluster installment of Nintendo downloads. Seriously, there are only two new games to talk about this time around, and that is just downright pathetic. Handheld owners will get the chance to either relive a blast from the past or pick out differences between pictures, while the rest of the offerings include just a couple of demos and that’s it. Just seems like things are getting worse in the digital world for N fans, but oh well, let’s hope things turn around sometime soon. Regardless of this issue here it is, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for March 1st, 2012.

Without question, my pick for this week is going to have to go to Metroid for the 3DS Virtual Console Service. It has an ESRB rating of for Everyone, and will be available for download soon, through the Nintendo eShop, at the asking price of $4.99. My reason for picking this title above the rest was because it honestly seems like the only thing that I would even have a remote interest in playing. If you feel the same way I do then by all means check this game out as soon as it becomes available.  If reliving a classic doesn’t interest you, then go ahead and manipulate your environment in the CRUSH 3D Demo, or become scared after spotting differences in pictures in Aahh! Spot the Difference for DSiWare.

To wrap things up, our console friends sadly have only one new WiiWare Demo available for download. If anybody feels like solving puzzles in space, then the Aya and the Cubes of Light  Demo may just be right up their alley.

All this and more can be found in the eShop, DSi, and Wii Shop Channels very soon. Have fun!
