Nintendo Download of the Week: 2/2 Edition

All that can be said about this latest offering of Nintendo downloads is ugh. Seriously,is groundhog day a curse to gamers around the world?Because it seems like this service isn’t even really trying anymore. Wii owners get to explore the latest chapter in a math related mystery game, while handheld owners get to shoot down zombies with friends and relive the Punch Out experience in a different way (with swords), so it’s a rather dull installment of this segment to say the least. That being said, here it is, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for February 2nd, 2012.

My pick for this week is going to have to go to Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword for the 3DS Download Service. It has an ESRB rating of T for Teen, and will be available for download through the Nintendo eShop at the asking price of $6.99. The reason that I choose this one over the rest was because slicing down some evil samurais sounds like a lot of fun to me. If anybody feels the same way that I do then by all means download this title as soon as it becomes available.  Anybody not interested in becoming a samurai master could try taking down some zombie scum in Go Series: Undead Storm, or check out the latest Nintendo Video entitled Drown in the Now.

As usual, Wii owners are stuck at the bottom of the barrel with only one new WiiWare title available for download. See what new tricks this mystery woman has up her sleeve in Carmen Sandiego Adventures in Math: The Great Gateway Grab.

All this and more can be found in the eShop, DSi, and Wii Shop Channels very soon. Have fun!
