Nintendo Download of the Week: 9/22 Edition

Some of the latest offerings for Nintendos downloadable platforms do look tempting, but to be honest with you, none of them really stand out to me all that much. I have been craving a Wii VC release for some time now, and sadly, there is not one included in this update. What we do have are a few interesting ideas, that could have the potential of being worthwhile games, but that’s about it. Anyways, here it is, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for September 22nd, 2011.

My pick for this week is going to have to go to Aya and the Cubes of Light for the Wiiware service. It has an ESRB rating of E for Everyone, and will be available for download soon, through the Wii Shop Channel, at the asking price of 1000 Wii Points. The reason why I choose this one was because I like games that mix 2D platforming and puzzle solving together. Anybody else who enjoys this mixture as well should go ahead and download this title as soon as it becomes available. If this does not peak your interest, then by all means check out the new Wiiware demo for 3D Pixel Racing instead.

Handheld gamers will have one new 3D Classics title, two new DSiWare titles, and one new Nintendo Video to check out. Protect Donburi Island from being taken over by evil frogs in 3D Classics: TwinBee. Help a ninja escape a castle (not sure why he or she would be there in the first place) when playing Escape Trick: Ninja Castle. Decide who wins the battle between The Lancaster Empire, and the Duchy of Merovin by checking out Break Tactics. The newest video is a follow up to the last one, and it goes by the name of Foley- Part 2.

All of this, and more, can be found in the eShop, DSi, and Wii Shop Channels very soon, have fun!
