Nintendo Download of the Week: 7/21 Edition

Welcome to a rather strange installment of what new downloads are available in each of Nintendo’s online stores. From carrot loving bunnies, to trolls who snowboard, to ninjas climbing waterfalls (okay, that one wasn’t as weird), gamers will not know what to expect this time around. Does this mean that these titles will be bad because of how strange their concepts are, of course, not, every game deserves a chance no matter what. That being said here it is, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for July 21st, 2011.

My pic for this week is going to have to go to Bobby Carrot Forever for the Wiiware service. It has an ESRB rating of E for Everyone, and will be available for download soon, through the Wii Shop Channel, at the asking price of 800 Wii Points. This was a last minute choice, despite how cool one of the DSiWare titles looked, I decided to choose this game in the end because the concept of a top down puzzler just sounds more intriguing to me. Anybody who feels the same way should go ahead and download this one as soon as it becomes available.

Aside from a new free video app coming to the 3DS, one new 3D Classics title, along with three new DSiWare games will be hitting store shelves as well(downloadable shelves that is). Relive one of the more memorable top down shooters from back in the day by checking out 3D Classics: Xevious. Learn just how brutal gravity can be in Antipole. Show off those Martial Arts skills by climbing a waterfall when playing Kung Fu Dragon. Not sure why a creature like this is snowboarding in the first place, but if you’re willing to accept the fact that a troll can do anything, then by all means check out Trollboarder.

All of this, and more, can be found in the eShop, DSi, and Wii Shop Channels very soon, have fun!
