A Poor Choice of Words

As fans of the Megaman Legends series already know, the third installment of this franchise entitled Mega Man Legends 3 (which was suppossed to come out for the 3DS) has just been cancelled. While wondering the reasons why Capcom decided to do something like this, fans received a twitter message from the companies european branch recently explaining the reason behind its decision, which in turn angered them even more. The reason why it angered them so much was because they believe that this statement is blaming them for the cancellation, and I tend to agree with their assumption.

Go ahead and read it for yourself:

It’s a shame the fans didn’t want to get more involved :-( if we saw there was an audience for MML3 people might change minds

Words cannot even begin to describe how depressing reading this statement was, because honestly, blaming the people who buy your games for your problems is just simply childish. Fans have played a major part in making this community what it is today, and without them, you wouldn’t have any games to make. In a blink of an eye they apologized for their poor choice of words, saying that they were blaming themselves and their development team, and would never blame their loyal followers for anything. Seems like they are just covering their tracks in my opinion, but I could be wrong.

So let us know what you think of this mess by sharing your opinion in the comments below.
