Insomniac Keeps Ratchet and Clank Relevant

Ever since the original release of Ratchet and Clank, the series has been a stellar one, with an average metacritic score of 87 across the PlayStation family. There is no doubt in the formula that is implemented in the R&C series, which works really well for the guys at Insomniac, it is fun to use the creative and very crafted weapons — not to mention the chemistry between the protagonists, the funny dialogue and the clever gameplay (i.e. A Crack in Time). The solid formula has proven to be worthwhile for countless hours, but everything can seem stale if all we get is the same thing in every game — which is why change or modifications can be a wonderful idea if done right.

Which brings us to the next installment of the R&C series;Ratchet and Clank All 4 One“, after playing it at this year’s E3, we here at TQcast are completely sold on the game’s unbelievable experience. You can now play with your family or friends at once in a four player co-op mode with the same console or with friends online. This new feature allows for drop-in drop-out online, you will have to work with your group as One to face the many challenges that will be placed in front of you — for example, if all members attack the same enemy/mini-boses at once, than everyone will get a bonus after defeating the enemy. Another example is the “Sling Shot” help move, which helps sling shot shot your partner to the next platform. Team Effort will be the key to success in Ratchet and Clank All 4 One and it’s tons of fun playing cooperatively . Did I mention it is also going to be 3D supported? If you have a t.v. that supports it, i recommend it.

All 4 One will drop on October 18, 2011 in North America – Available for pre-order: Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One
