Its not everyday that you get to take a tour around an office that you could easily label as “all play and no work”. When I first entered the Evil Controllers headquarters I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. I was greeted warmly by one of the staff members and was told to “feel free to look around”. The first thing I noticed as soon as I walked in was what appeared to be a conference room with graffiti on the walls. Not the type of graffiti you see in the streets of Compton, instead it was more of an artistic type of graffiti. I was later informed that this conference room was the “brainstorming” room where all of the ideas for Evil Controllers takes place. It wasn’t long before I was greeted by Adam Coe, CEO of Evil Controllers.
The full audio interview is available below.
Adam Coe, CEO of Evil Controllers is not your typical gamer. Sure he enjoys playing online with friends, but Adam has something truly unique that he wants to bring to the table. Something that just might take the gaming industry by surprise. Adam has created a monster, literally!
Evil Controllers started in Adam’s dorm room during his freshman year of college at University of Arizona. I prefer Arizona State University but that’s neither here nor there. The inspiration for the creation of such a controller came from Adam wanting more than his controller could offer him. He wanted to improve his gaming so he modified his own controller, giving birth to something…….EVIL
Evil Controllers offers all types of modded Xbox 360 controllers. Mods can range from a simple rapid fire mod, to a complete re-skinning of your controller. You imagine it, Evil Controllers will create it. Some people might look at a modded controller as a way of cheating, but Adam sees this as a way to level the playing field.
Each modded controller has its own pricing depending on the amount of mods the controller has. The fancier you want your controller, the prettier the penny it’s going to cost you.
Evil Controllers also takes custom orders from individuals with disabilities. Adam mentioned that Evil Controllers has made custom controllers for individuals with disabilities. Enter “Evil Accessibility”.
Evil Accessibility is Evil Controller’s belief that everyone can game. A person should not have to be restricted to how they game because of a disability.
I guess Evil Controllers really aren’t so Evil after all.
