Nintendo unveiled the The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword at their E3 2010 conference to much fanfare. Hardcore gamers have been asking for Nintendo to give back to the gamers who helped make the company the juggernaut it is today.
The little Hylian hero Link returns in what appears to be a game specifically built for the Wii. Skyward Sword heavily relies on using the Wiimote and the Wii-Motion Plus to control your shield, sword, and other items in the game. Whether or not hardcore gamers find this game on the level of Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker is yet to be decided, but many feel this is a major step towards reconciling with gamers who have an aversion to Nintendo’s focus on casual gaming.
Gamers can expect to walk in Link’s shoes sometime in 2011.
