Upgrade Your PS3 Hard Drive TQ Style

April 10th, 2009 | By Desz

You may have seen many “How to” videos for PS3 HDD upgrades, but you have never seen TQcast’s TQ style version of it. Sit back relax, pour a drink or two, because it is time for the TQcast feature presentation of “Upgrade Your PS3 Hard Drive TQ Style”.

Here is the HDD I’m using from Newegg

Hands down, best PS3 hard drive upgrade vid thus far. You always create entertaining vids. I have an 80gb with 40 free space, might upgrade soon.

i upgraded mine to a 320 segate but i kinda have a problem with it… every time i start my playstation it tells me that it cant read the HDD. so every time (read this online) i have to unplug it (powercord) and then it magically works after that or until i turn it off again. Its really a pain in the ass to be doing that every time so if you guys could help me out with sumthing i dunno. thx

Maggot, have you tried re-reseating the hard drive? If not I would recommend you do so.

Great How to Video, very easy to understand and enjoyable to watch. I have to upgrade, but I keep putting it off.

  8. Desz says:

You really should. It took me way too long, but I'm glad I finally did while sharing it with the TQfam.

Did you have any games saves that couldn't be copied? Usually it says Copy Prohibited on the saves

  10. Desz says:

Not that I'm aware of. I never received that error. Although for some reason, I can't see my own trophy count now. It takes for ever to sync, even though it has nothing to do with the upgrade.

awsome how to vid but im wondering im the kind of guy who needs alot of space and is it possible to install a 1TB harddrive

  12. Desz says:

I believe 500GB is the limit at this time. You can always use an external drive as well.
